Ashleigh Valentine Garza

Ashleigh Valentine Garza is an artist/muralist born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her love for painting walls began as an adolescent, where she spray painted and tagged the name Treone. Since then, she has developed a recognizable style that speaks to femininity, motherhood, community and expanding the creative mind.

Garza has been exhibiting work in San Antonio since 2018 and several known galleries such as Blue Star Art complex, Mercury Project and historical Carver center. In 2020 she began volunteering with the local nonprofit organization San Anto Cultural Arts and soon after was contracted to work on a series of mini murals among other artists. While contracted through SACA she has been a part of youth programs and community events.

Her first large scale solo mural “Axl and Zelda”(40x12ft) was painted in October 2021 in the West side of San Antonio for the San Antonio Metropolitan Health Department, in part of the Healthy Food Choice stores program. In 2022 she was contracted through San Anto Culture Arts and the City of San Antonio to create a 150 ft x 18ft mural with fellow artist Hailey Marmolejo on historical Market Square located in downtown San Antonio. The project was executed in the summer of 2022 and will be installed in March 2023. In addition to murals Garza enjoys curating and participating in local art events such as Chalk It Up and Events by Centro. Garza has also had her work published in the San Antonio Express News, KSAT12 news, and Texas Public Radio.

Her objective as an artist is to ignite creativity in the young and old, to draw out compassion and new thoughts from observers and to make a mark in history as a woman, artist, and mother.
