Marco Vargas

Marco Vargas is a self-taught artist who lives and works in San Antonio Texas. Born in Mexico, during his childhood years he had a lot of artistic support from his family who had a massive impact on the direction of his artwork. These influences helped propel his art towards new and exciting areas of his creative mind. As an adolescent, Marco would always see the local graffiti, which living in the west side of San Antonio, he was intrigued by the art form and wanted to give it a try as well. Marco experimented with graffiti through out his teenage years.

In his early twenties he had himself a family and never thought about pursuing his dream of being full time artist, but he is definitely well on his way. In his late 20’s he decided to do something with his art, and that direction was leading him towards a world of artistic exploration. These new avenues would lead him to certain opportunities that would help promote his artwork and catapult him into an exciting realm of live painting and other painting events.

Eventually all this lead to more and more referrals and more painting events that he seldom let pass. He has the drive and the artistic prowess to tackle any project large or small. As an artist he understands the importance of commitment and leaves his mark by way of brush or spray can.

Today he continues those same pursuits and after much success in organizing painting events and other local projects, his sights are now set on the next big opportunities to propel his artwork to different levels. We all grow and learn from those that we surround ourselves with, and luckily for Marco all of those that make up his inner circle are artist. The pursuit continues and the only limits are the limits of our imaginations. Armed with a slew of brushes and paints and ideas, the future is a blank canvas.
